Eligibility for Loans and Grants through Student Finance England
At Elevate Education, we guide students through the process of applying for financial support via Student Finance England. Here's a quick overview of the key eligibility requirements:
1. Type of Course and Institution
You must be enrolled in an eligible higher education course (undergraduate, postgraduate, etc.) at a qualifying college or university.
2. Previous Education History
First-time students and those returning for a second undergraduate course may be eligible for loans and grants. However, previous study may affect the amount of funding available.
3. Age
There is no upper age limit for Tuition Fee Loans and Maintenance Loans. However, some grants may have age restrictions.
4. Nationality and Residency Status
UK citizens and EU nationals who have lived in the UK for at least 3 years are generally eligible. Refugees and those with settled status may also qualify.
5. Course Requirements
Loans are available for both full-time and part-time courses (if studying at least 25% of a full-time course load).
